This quilt is machine pieced of striped, flowered, and geometric fabrics in off-white. The batting is cotton. The binding is hand and machine attached purchased off-white rayon taffeta bias tape with rounded corners. The quilt is hand quilted overall in a fan pattern, using white silk thread. The stitching is an even 5 stitches to the inch. The backing is machine pieced off-white rayon fabric.
This quilt was made from swatches of fabric from Eugenia Mitchell's Aunt Emma (or Mary) Hartmeister who was a dressmaker in St. Louis, Missouri.
