Machine pieced block quilt made from new solid and printed fabrics in yellow, green, and brown, with a brown border. The printed fabrics have striped, flowered, and geomentric patterns. The quilt has a polyester batting. It is hand quilted overall with white cotton thread at four stitches per inch with the Baptist Fan pattern and there is diamond quilting in the border. The backing is pieced with a cotton cactus print . The binding is made from the backing fabric folded over the top with mitered corners.
The maker and donor, Charles Terry Mitchell, received quilting help from his grandmother, Eugenia Mitchell, who was the founder of the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden, CO.
